"Old records hsow name as 'ffrauncis' - Francis was Minister at Claybrook, Leicester, until removal to Salem. He came on the ship TALBOT and helped found the Church in Salem. He kept a diary of his 'New England' trip. His widow went to New Haven."1 He was born on 6 August 1586 in Claybrook, Leicestershire, England. He died on 6 August 1630 in Salem at age 44.
