From description of Woodbridge:
"The town of Woodbridge was incorporated Jan. 1784, and taken from New Haven and Milford. The Congregational Church was organized Nov. 2, 1742, though formed in 1737, and called the society in Amity (including Bethany till 1762). Rev. Benjamin Woodbridge was pastor from 1742 to 1783."
