William Fleming was born circa March 1782.¹ He was the son of Robert Fleming and Olive Amsden.¹ He married Anna Goss, daughter of Reuben Goss and Martha Drury, on 29 May 1805 in Wendell, Massachusetts.² William and Patty appeared on the census of 1840 in Wendell.³ They also appeared on the census of 1850 in Wendell.⁴ He and Anna Goss appeared on the census of 1855 in Wendell.⁵ He died on 9 August 1856 in Wendell.¹ He was buried after 9 August 1856 in Wendell Center Cemetery, Wendell.⁶ His estate was probated in 1860 in Greenfield.⁷
