Anna Goss was born on 23 February 1788 in Phillipston, Worcester County, Massachusetts.^1,2 She went by the name of Patty as her mother Martha did. Although most records list her as Patty, the only daughter born of Reuben and Martha Goss of Phillipston (as specified in her death record) is Anna. She was the daughter of Reuben Goss and Martha Drury. She married William Fleming, son of Robert Fleming and Olive Amsden, on 29 May 1805 in Wendell, Massachusetts.³ William and Patty appeared on the census of 1840 in Wendell.⁴ They also appeared on the census of 1850 in Wendell.⁵ She and William Fleming appeared on the census of 1855 in Wendell.⁶ She and Reuben Fleming appeared on the census of 1860 in Wendell.⁷ She appeared on the census of 28 July 1865 in Wendell.⁸ She and Oliver Fleming appeared on the census of 1870 in Wendell.⁹ She died on 25 May 1873 in Wendell at age 85.²
