William (4) Makepeace "He removed from Taunton to Norton, probably about April 1, 1727, for we find a deed, dated March 22, 1726, from Nicholas Morey to William Makepeace, Jr., 'of Taunton,' of one hundred and sixty acres of land, for three hundred pounds. This land was 'at a place called Fooseberry Meadow, and lyeth on both sides of a River called the Mill River.'" He was born circa 1704 in Taunton.1 He was the son of William (3) Makepeace and Abigail Tisdale. He married Experience Aldrich, daughter of Peter Aldrich and Experience Cook, on 14 January 1723/24 in Norton.2,3 He died on 15 April 1740 in Norton.
